The Integrated Human
It is impossible to adequately describe the integrated human, to encapsulate the essence in words, but we can get close. Nothing I’m about to say is fictional.
The integrated human may not a Michelin-star chef but she knows how to pair a sauce with a dish to make the gut sing.
He is as accustomed to the icy-dry winter, but also to the hot-humid tropical savanna.
He spends and invests his money in a way that is in line with his nature.
Where she lives … the town and the home … fits exactly how she wants to spend her days.
The things he’d do for free happen to be the things that build his livelihood.
He thinks not only with his brain, but with every cell in his body.
We are done with tools. We are the ultimate weapon, our bodies, firing as integrated systems, and AI takes us each, individually, to the next level. So we are done with tools outside of this because they are too menial, too one-dimensional.
The integrated human does not solve his problems directly, for he knows, that addressing problems directly often makes them worse.
The society we’ve found ourselves in, on the flip side, teaches us to be “problem solvers”, and by extension, all of our industries are made to solve problems. This is the culture.
There’s nothing more Sisyphean than attempting to fix problems one by one; you are cutting heads off the Hydra, the source is never touched, and over time, the body is drained of inspiration and energy because there is no integration in such a system.
It is about becoming something so Whole, so complete that it does a surround sound transformation of your life.
Most of us run to the health and vitality space when they are already underwater. We desperately want to reach surface, and rightfully so. But there is a way to bypass the surface and go straight to the cosmos, so to speak. From below sea to space. This requires the becoming and creating of an integrated system from which the re-wiring of perception and … action … naturally follows. A complete change of one’s life. Not out of panic or impulse, but something systematic.
The integrated human doesn’t feel the pressure. He sees the pressure. He is neither a thinker nor a doer. He coalesces all fives sense into a sixth. An integrated system.
She is a microcosm who holds the universe in both the eyes and the gut.
An by the way, because of artificial intelligence, you no longer have to be only a researcher, only a coder, only a writer, only a designer.
You can be Whole.
Specialization is now optional, for chasing Olympic gold and other Great endeavours.
The human body wants cells in healthy turnover, food transformed into life, waste cleared, and each part participating in the whole without going rogue.
It is an integrated system that, like others, is greater than the sum of its parts … and that’s the “abundance” part … something that just happens.
The integrated human is thus the body carried upward into life, not merely the body as anatomy, but the body enacted, its coherence extended into the world.
